Perhaps you’ve noticed: The volunteers at Thrift Shops for Nova West Island are extraordinary. And, much like the Cabbage Patch Dolls shown here, no two of us are identical.
As mentioned from the get-go, this blog’s main purpose is to share the volunteers’ stories of generosity, dedication, passion, and experience as we go about our work for Nova. As you can well imagine, our lives and stories began long before those of the fifteen year-old Thrift Shops for Nova. In fact, ours go way back — for some, to 80 years ago, or even more!
Stay tuned, dear readers. We have tales to tell! Maybe, as I share some tidbits of each of their lives, you will recognize the exceptional volunteer hiding among us.
